    Micheal is the director and principal of Sydney-based Michael Williams Associates Pty Ltd.

    Michael is a highly regarded facilitator within the agriculture sector involving industry, NRM and business-planning. He has facilitated over 200 high level workshops and forums to assist agricultural industries, Australian, State, local Governments, CMAs and NGOs involved in agriculture and NRM policy development and program delivery. His engaging and involving style is well received by workshop participants and delivers impressive strategically focused outcomes. Michael holds a BA in geomorphology and geology.

  • Dr Steve Cork

    Steve is an associate consultant with specialist expertise in futures and scenario planning. His business, EcoInsights, commenced in 2005.

    Steve has an interesting background of tremendous complementarity to Kiri-ganai Research. He was a research ecologist for 25 years and has been a futurist specialising in relationships between the environment and human health and well-being for the past 10 years. He has extensive experience working in and with government policy agencies in Australian and internationally.

  • Dr Jennifer Andrew

    Jenny has had a longstanding relationship with Kiri-ganai Research as Director for Andrew Gavel Pty Ltd, once co-located in Kiri-ganai's Kingston office.

    Jenny's background spans a number of disciplines including community-based environmental education, environmental policy and social research. She has considerable research experience in the areas of finance, history, community education, environmental issues and policy. Among other things, Jenny has developed performance indicators, surveys and reports for local government, rural industries, peak and regional Indigenous organisations, community groups, the Australian Government, and state and territory governments.

    Over the years, Jennifer has co-authored several publications that are predominantly about environmental policy and community practice. These include: Context and Commitment in Environmental Education (Andrew & Robottom, 1998); Considering Community Diversity (Andrew. & Eastburn, 1997). Most recently, Jennifer contributed to the publication Building a Sustainable Future (Keen, Brown & Dyball, 2005) and developed a report for the Department of Environment and Heritage: 'Mutual Learning: Bridging the Gap between Policy and Practice' for the Regional Natural Resource Management Team.

    Jenny has a PhD in Education (Deakin University); a Graduate Diploma in Education (Sydney University); and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sydney University).

  • Prof. Jann Williams

    Professor Jann Williams trained as a landscape ecologist with her professional interests over the last two decades focusing on the conservation and management of biodiversity in Australia. She has worked as a part-time consultant for the last 9 years for Land & Water Australia. Five years was spent as the National Coordinator of the Native Vegetation R&D Program (1998-2003) and five and a half years (2001-2007) as the National Coordinator of the Native Vegetation and Biodiversity Sub-program of Land, Water & Wool. During this period, Jann led a team of authors writing the biodiversity theme report for the 2001 Commonwealth State of the Environment Report, contributed to the 2002 biodiversity report published by the National Land & Water Resources Audit and in 2005 authored and co-authored two major reports on native vegetation management at the regional and property level for Greening Australia.

    &Graze Biodiversity project steering committee and the WildCountry Science Council and sits on the Cradle Coast NRM Committee at the regional level. She brings a wealth of experience in biodiversity conservation, assessment and evaluation at the regional and national level, as well as highly regarded skills in project management.

  • Doug Watkins

    Doug Watkins is the Manager of Wetlands International - Oceania, and brings to the Kiri-ganai Research network expertise in wetland ecology as well as enourmous experience with Asian partnerships.

    Doug is has a background of 15 years as an environmental consultant before joining Wetlands International Oceania in 1995. Doug's contemporary experience is with the development and implementation of international environmental initiatives involving Government and non-government organisations. Doug has made over 20 visits to work with the China Office of Wetlands International to identify priority issues, develop networks with Government Agencies and site managers and support project implementation. This work has also involved professional development of the staff in the China Office to make them aware in international approached to program management.
